A native of Kansas, Evan Lindquist earned the Master of Fine Arts degree in Printmaking in 1963 from University of Iowa where he studied with Mauricio Lasansky. He received the BSE degree with majors in Art and Biology at Emporia State University in 1958. He taught printmaking and drawing at Arkansas State University in Jonesboro for forty years before retiring from teaching in 2003. He earned the rank of Professor of Art, and following retirement from teaching, he was recognized as Distinguished Emeritus Professor of Art.

Arkansas Governor’s Lifetime Achievement Award, 2004.
He continues to make prints as a full-time artist in his private studio in Jonesboro, Arkansas.
